Ron Stevens became Sheriff of Schoharie County in 2018. Prior to that, Sheriff Stevens served as Schoharie County Undersheriff for 7 years. A 33-year veteran of the NYS Police, Sheriff Stevens commanded the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force; started the NYS Police Computer Crime Unit; and was Director of NYS Police Computer Crime Unit for 10 years. During his tenure with the NYS Police, he was also an Investigator conducting homicide, narcotics and felony investigations. Sheriff Stevens is a US Army Bronze Star Vietnam Veteran.
