Sheriff Brian Schenck is a life-long resident of Cayuga County and has proudly served the in the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) for more than twenty years. He most recently served as a Detective Lieutenant where he was responsible for supervising and conducting all felony investigations, reviewed all domestic violence cases investigated by the CCSO and collaborated with outside agencies to further criminal investigative activity. Sheriff Schenck is past president of the Cayuga County Deputy Sheriff’s Police Association and Benevolent Association. He is also the former Administrator of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Child Passenger Safety Program and former Team Leader of the CCSO SWAT Team. He attended the Central New York Police Academy and received his A.A.S. in Criminal Justice and B.S. in Criminal Justice Administration from Columbia Southern University.
