Three adjoining town houses on Calm Lake Drive in the Town of Victor were badly damaged by a fire that started in the basement of the middle town house. The occupant of that town house was safely evacuated. The adjoining homes were unoccupied at the time except for the dog pictured.  Fire fighters rescued the dog and handed him to Ontario County Deputy Sheriff Robert Holland who got the dog to safety.  Eight fire company’s responded  to the blaze. Fire fighters were challenged by strong westerly winds and serious icing conditions.
